VR Training

This training was developed for a T-Mobile event, the Tech Olympics. We created twelve VR scenarios that show different disasters that could happen at cell tower sites, such as downed towers by tornados, downed trees cutting off power to the tower, etc. This VR Scenario is to train the technicians on what they should do if this rare disaster happens.

Client: T-Mobile

T-Mobile had an event called the Tech Olympics; this was a 4 day conference for all of their technicians. They asked if we could make twelve scenarios of disaster and recovery, like what happens if a tree falls over and knocked out a cell tower site.

Disaster and Recovery VR Scenario

This disaster is showing a downed tree cutting off the power to a cell site. We used a 360 camera to capture these images. Then I had to create all of the damage in photoshop and then create icons for the arrows and pop up windows in Illustrator.

Before

When a 360 image is laid out flat it is equirectangular which makes it harder to edit and keep the perspective right.

After

When adding the fallen tree, I had to remember I was editing this as a 360 image. I tried to keep it in the center of the image so that it would not warp the perspective.
