ORS Sharepoint Site Redesign

The ORS team had been working on their old website for three years and had requested our team to redesign it for them. They had gotten their Sharepoint website up, but it had really bad UX/UI and they asked our design team to step in and help them out on the redesign. It took 3 months for our team to rebuild the site from scratch.

New Redesigned Site

The ORS Sharepoint site is split up into 2 teams; Network and DTD. This can be challenging when designing the UI, but when it came to the inner pages, they wanted to keep the same layout but change the content.

This is the inner page after you click on the DTD button. This shows a simple layout with big buttons on the right side that will take you to the check lists.

This is the check list showing what they do and what operability means to the team.

Previous Site Design

The old home page had the two large split team icons with a "click here" button on the bottom of each one, but the banners that were there below those two split team icons were actually buttons that the user didn't know they were supposed to click on.

This is the inner page when you click on DTD or network. This page was a mess with so many "click here" buttons on the page and a banner in the top and middle of the page. There is also the large grey box with blue links, but it is unclear on its purpose. The user could easily get lost and not know what to do here.

This is the old check list page and as you can see there was no call to actions and the user does not know what to do with the page of information.
